Thee olde pendulum swingin
A worthless illustration
Why’s it so hard to part
With ideas long broken?
Those prior extremes
Where's their recognition?
It’s gettin hard to know
If we’re in the same dimension
Meltin down this year
They just bridge the fuse
It’s no war of words people
Have lost all they can lose
Attackin the eyes, redden the pink
Justice on high - they can’t make her blink
Ash and lime - she doesn’t speak
But we know pretty well just what she thinks
They think we’re all fools
Don’t know the world like they do
And the more they disapprove
The more we’re gettin through
There’s no sport with no rules
They’re fightin nail and tooth
Now their crowd’s in an uproar
When they see we bite too
Attack on the eyes, red in the pink
Justice on high - they can’t make her blink
Ash and lime - she doesn’t speak
But we know pretty well just what she thinks
So what we do’s ineffectual
symbolic at best
We’re takin criminal
foolhardy missteps
Our lofty thoughts
just some things you spray paint
Ah but what we’d do
w/o these restraints
They think we’re all fools
Don’t know the world like they do
And the more they disapprove
Then the more we’re gettin through
By the numbers and smooth
They want anything but
Don’t put nothin past em now
They love to pull the rug
they say that we all
Want to get to the same place
they’d take an ramblin’ route
They lie right to your face
The same brains from the ‘60’s
Are still fightin’ today
1860’s, 1960’s
Yeah they’ve fought us all the way
Attack on the eyes, redden the pink
Justice on high - they can’t make her blink
Ash and lime - she doesn’t speak
But we know pretty well just what she thinks
